New Creation in Christ is a diverse congregation centered in Christ who provides a loving environment where each person is valued and nurtured to the glory of God.

We seek to honor God by valuing each of his sons and daughters regardless of age, gender, race, education, talents, abilities, health, economic condition or social standing.  In such a loving, Christ-centered atmosphere each individual is encouraged to become everything our loving Father intended.  We demonstrate the love of Jesus in meaningful ways as we make disciples who make disciples.

New Creation in Christ believes we are called by God to strengthen and nurture family relationships across every generation and to reach out to the helpless and homeless with the good news of acceptance and inclusion in the life of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.  We seek to model an authentic community of Spirit-empowered grace in sharing the love of Jesus in tangible ways with the resources the Father provides to us individually and collectively.

It is our hope that our involvement as a chapter of the Office of Reconciliation and Mediation will enable us to be a catalyst for reconciliation and renewal within the Christian church and to bring racial healing within the greater St. Louis community.  In light of events in and around Ferguson since August 9, 2014, it is our fervent desire for the Lord to open a door in Ferguson or Florissant for us to worship and to minister healing to individuals and people groups in those communities.  We are now meeting at 1050 Smith Avenue, Ferguson, MO, 63135 at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Our Mission: New Creation in Christ exists to win others to Jesus, to build them into mature Christians, to equip them to become disciples who make disciples and to multiply Christian leaders.

Summary of Our Faith

We believe:

  • There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • God the Father made all things through the Son, sent the Son for our salvation, and gives us the Holy Spirit.
  • The Son of God, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human, and is the perfect revelation of the Father and the perfect representative of humanity. He suffered and died on the cross for all human sin, was raised bodily on the third day, and ascended to heaven. Standing in for all humanity before the Father, Jesus Christ provides the perfect human response to God. Since he died for all, all died in him, and all will be made alive in him.
  • The Holy Spirit brings sinners to repentance and faith, assures believers of their forgiveness and acceptance as God’s dearly loved children, and works in them to conform them to the image of Jesus Christ.
  • The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God that testifies to Jesus Christ. The Bible is fully authoritative for all matters of faith and salvation.
  • Salvation comes only by God’s grace and not by works, and it is experienced through faith in Jesus Christ. Christians respond to the joy of salvation when they gather in regular fellowship and live godly lives in Jesus Christ.
  • We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.

Our Message

  1. The Triune God created all people to participate in the love relationship enjoyed by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  2. The Son became human, the man Jesus Christ, to reconcile all humanity to God.
  3. The crucified, resurrected and glorified Jesus is the representative and the substitute for humanity at the right hand of God, and he draws all people to himself by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  4. In Christ, humanity is loved and accepted by the Father.
  5. Jesus Christ paid for all our sins – past, present and future – and there is no longer any debt to pay.
  6. The Father has in Christ forgiven all our sins, and he eagerly desires that we turn to him.
  7. We can enjoy his love only when we believe that he loves us. We can enjoy his forgiveness only when we believe he has forgiven us.
  8. When we respond to the Spirit by turning to God, believing the good news and picking up our cross and following Jesus, the Spirit leads us into the transformed life of God’s kingdom.
